Experience an Ocean of Love in Jesus

“We are like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies
in a puddle because we cannot imagine what is meant by the offer to plunge
into an ocean of love in Jesus. We are far too easily pleased." –Jenna Silliman
(My own adaption of a quote by C.S.Lewis.)

My Hands Belong to You, Beloved Jesus

Holy Spirit shows me needs to "cure the sick" and "pray healing" every day lately, today a man with injury on his face, yesterday a woman going blind that could not read a price tag, the day before a man with a burn on his arm. I see no results, but I leave these needs in God's lap when I pray. My pastor told me Wimber prayed daily for many and didn't see results for a year. I am willing, ready, and able to pray and I am not afraid. I will be a fool for Christ. He gave everything for me--it is a small service to pray. As Jesus is in the world, so are we. (1John4:17) What Jesus would do is pray healing. How could I not? I believe the Word "We will lay hands on the sick and they will recover." I believe in a miracle working God. My hands belong to You, Beloved Jesus.

Open Heaven

  • Heaven is permanently open and raining down as we walk (and dance!) with God. Whoo hoo!!! Let’s get drenched--soaked to the cells of our being. Oh how refreshing, energizing, and reviving! Jesus told us, “It is not you who are speaking, but the Spirit of Your Father speaking through you…What I say to you, proclaim from the rooftops! (See Mat. 10:20, 27.) Let’s shout it from the rooftops:  IT IS RAINING! Come on--let’s open our mouths and satisfy our souls, for we've got living water in abundance. Let’s turn our hearts heavenward to be an open portal to receive from Father God our spiritual nourishment. No need to pray any more for heaven to rain down. No need to wait for more. No need for big yellow umbrellas for this rain. Just believe and receive with arms open wide. Let's enjoy His sweet heavenly Presence 24/7, let His rain fill us up, and overflow everywhere we go!

  • Phillip Beard wrote: "A new STORM is sweeping across the Church. It’s called STORMING the gates of heaven. When God’s people storm into heaven, the whole earth will be shaken with the Father’s glory!
Drench yourself with heaven until you are dripping with glory."

Free Sun!

The weather forecast is "mostly cloudy" for today and for most of June here in Sequim in the far Northwest of Washington State. That's why I cracked up when I saw this sign for FREE SUN for Father's Day at the Sequim Aquatic Rec Center.

"The Lord God is a Sun and Shield; the Lord bestows grace and favor and glory [honor, splendor, heavenly bliss]! No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly." Psalm 84:11 Amplified
We are carriers of "FREE SUN" because we have the Lord's Holy Spirit shining out of us! I commented on the June gloom one day to my dear friend, and sister in the Lord, Charli Anderson. She said, "Oh, I didn't even notice." Hahaha!

Bright and Shiny for Jesus

God is an incredible Craftsman and I am no longer a mound of clay or a
worthless lump of coal. I am one of the bright and shiny ones...a brilliant, shining diamond!
"You shine like stars in this dark world." Philippians 2:15
Rise and shine for the glory of the Lord has risen upon you! See Isaiah 60:1

Peter's Kitten, Gusto

Peter and his kitten, Gusto
We picked up Peter's new kitten, Gusto, from our friends' house up on Happy Valley Road today. All the way home the kitten meowed with such a sad sound that Peter and I cried in sympathy for him. Gus is such a cute little guy with white mitten feet and grey and black stripes. I commented to Peter that he has a bob tail. Peter said, "That's because he's related to a bobcat." As soon as he said it, Peter knew it was ridiculous and with tears still on our cheeks we laughed and laughed. Gus related to a bobcat! Hahaha!

Double Rainbow Message

Whenever I see a rainbow, especially a double rainbow, I stop and gaze at the beauty of God's creation and ponder His great and precious promises to us. It renews our hope to dwell on the promises He has given us so abundantly. I like to read my Bible every day and read until He speaks to my heart. I had read Psalm 90:17 in my Bible one rainy April day about how God promises to bestow His favor on His people. In the Amplified Bible it says not only His favor but His grace, beauty, and delight are upon us also. Wow! I rewrote it as a prophetic word to God's beloved people.
I AM the Lord Your God and I place My favor, grace, beauty, and delight
upon you like wings overshadowing, encamping, hovering or dwelling over you
like a mighty fortress or a strong tower
to establish the work of your hands.
I AM your dwelling place 24/7.
I AM satisfaction for your heart.
I give you songs of love and gratitude
and make you want to dance for joy.
Live LIFE abundantly for
My favor is upon you, says the Lord.

That rainy night was our weekly home group meeting and one of my boys ran in and yelled, "Mom! There's a double rainbow! Quick, come and see it!" We jumped up and ran out the door and it had almost completely faded by the time I grabbed my cell phone for a photograph. I had to capture the moment because I just knew that double rainbow was a message for me confirming the word God gave me that day.

This is me and "my" double rainbow!
Look closely to see the double rainbow in the sky! 4.19-12

Laughter is an Instant Vacation

Laughter is good medicine and a cheerful mind works healing,
but a broken spirit dries up the bones.
Proverbs 17:22

Vacation used to be a luxury, but in today's world it has become a necessity--

but no matter if you can travel somewhere or not, laughter is an instant vacation.

Children's Folk Dance Class, Spring 2012

I had anywhere from 12 to 18 students in my Tuesday afternoon Children's Folk Dance Class, February to June 2012. The ages ranged from four years to twelve. It was challenging, but our goal was to have fun and just enjoy moving to the music. We accomplished our goal! Many of the children had never danced before.

I adapted a little song about teddy bears for a dance. It quickly became a favorite and we ended every class with "Jenna's Teddy Bear Dance." We also danced it to end our performance for Sons of Norway Constitution Day Celebration on Saturday, May 19th. It is now a favorite with adults as well!

Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, turn around.
Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, touch the ground.
Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, dance on your toes.
Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, touch your nose.

Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, go upstairs.
Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, say your prayers.
Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, turn out the light.
Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, say good-night. Good-night!

June in the Seattle Area

This sign should read "Seattle Area" and in reality the weather requires jackets through the 4th of July at least and then we have to get our jackets out again in September--actually keep 'em handy all the time.  Most of us Northwestern folks keep extra jackets, blankets, socks, and warm clothes in our car in case the weather turns cold. I actually carry a pair of socks in my purse!

After living in the Seattle area for a dozen years, you think I'd be used to the chilly, winter-like weather of June. Some people call it "June Gloom". Sometimes  the clouds just seem to hang there day after day. Recently I had a good laugh when I heard the Seattle Area's name for this month: "June-uary" Hahaha!

We live in Sequim (near Port Angeles) on the far Northwestern tip of the U.S.A., West of Seattle, across the Puget Sound. We have drier weather here because we are in the rain shadow of the Olympic Mountains, but most days in June are still cloudy. If the sun peeks out for a little while the Chamber of Commerce records these days as sunny for their weather statistics. Yeah, right! Sure, it is always a sunny day in Sequim--the sun is just behind some clouds, that's all. Hahaha!

In June, if we get a sunny day, especially on the weekend, suddenly we have "Jumpin' June" because everyone jumps in their car and enjoys an outing in the beautiful (and rare) summer day in the Northwest. You never know because a day can start out sunny and end up cloudy and windy and cold. If you blink, you might miss summer altogether. Hahaha! The sun is actually shining today, June 15th. I'd better jump up and get out there and enjoy some sunshine!

I do have to add--to complement Sequim--when it is sunny, with all the flowers in bloom, it is GORGEOUS! The flowers don't seem to mind cloudy days. They grow, bud out and get ready and when the sun comes out we enjoy JUNE BLOOM !!!

One Hundred Pennies!

I was just notified by PayPal I have received my first donation for my ministry trip to Germany--one dollar. Another way to look at it is one hundred pennies. My first donation--whoohoo! I'm excited. I do not "despise the day of small beginnings." (See Zechariah 4:10) If all of my 774 friends on Facebook each donated 100 pennies, that would be $774.00 and that is a lot of money. Wouldn't that be something? Every little bit helps. I'm thankful for every bit of support in any form. These pennies are like seeds being sown towards an awesome harvest.

Germany Information Letter

I am my Beloved’s and He is mine and His flag over me is LOVE!”
~Song of Songs

June 2012

Dear Friends,
All followers of Jesus are “ministers” wherever they go, but sometimes God has a special assignment. God has shown me I’m going to Germany. In October I attended Bethel’s Open Heavens Conference in Redding, California and a BSSM student there gave me a prophetic word from God. She saw the word “UNLIMITED” on my forehead. Then I kept meeting people from Germany. People from all over the world were there, but everywhere I turned I met Germans. It was amazing.
I met a German pastor named Rudiger. He said, “You should meet my wife, Stefanie--she is a dancer, a dance teacher, and a flagger like you.” He told me the name of their ministry is UNLIMITED. That caught my interest! On their website www.unlimitedgod.de it says, “Experience the Unlimited God.” Stefanie’s quote about dance on her page resonates with my heart as a worship dancer, “Dance is the art of touching the heart, where our language is no more words.” Rudiger extended an open invitation to visit. My son, Daniel, is getting his PhD in Germany and his wife, Beth, is a part of a campus ministry among the students at Tuebingen University. They have invited me to visit them also.
It was a dream, because I didn’t have money for such a trip, so I put it in God’s hands. Shortly after I got home I received a check in the mail for $1,000 for an insurance settlement for repairs for a scrape on my car from a minor accident. Then for Mother’s Day my children all chipped in another $200. They didn’t know it, but this was exactly how much more I needed to buy a round trip ticket to Germany. I bought my ticket and now my dream is coming true. On August 26th I am flying to Germany for two weeks for my first overseas ministry experience!
Rudiger and Stefanie have invited me to stay with them in Nuremburg, where they are planting a church, and to help teach a worship dance class. I am bringing my flags and have some ideas. I don’t know all that God has planned for me, but I am excited to be “sent out” overseas for Jesus. I love the Lord and I am thrilled to share the abundant LIFE wherever I go. We truly are UNLIMITED, for Jesus said, “All things are possible with God.” (Mat. 19:26) For more information, photos, and updates visit www.TheDanceofLifewithJenna.blogspot.com . It is so fun to share my adventures with you!
There are several ways you can partner with me and be a part of what God is doing in Germany. Please pray for me to receive the Lord’s preparation that I would be fully ready for this ministry trip. Please also pray for the hearts of the German people that I meet, to be ready to receive from the Lord. I hope to be inspiring, encouraging, and equipping. I also would like to invite you to support me financially, as the Lord leads. Even five dollars or one dollar will be received gratefully. I have need of money for train fare, food, three nights lodging, and more worship flags for ministering in Germany. This summer, for anyone who lives in the area, I am looking for babysitting or housesitting jobs to earn money. Please feel free to share this letter, prayer requests, and also my contact information.
